Welfare Reform bill – My reply to John McDonnell MP

Dear John

I saw your eye catching response to the Welfare Reform Bill in Parliament on line (Below)

You raise some very valid points but as usual fail to identify the root causes of the issues in our area.

As UKIP’s Hayes & Harlington spokesman and effectively the opposition party in the constituency, here is my reply to your speech.

Ray Puddifoot – Strong leader, aloof bureaucrat or poor communicator?

Yesterday I highlighted a number of issues in Charville ward in Hayes surrounding potholes, flytipping and lack of grasscutting on the UKIP Hillingdon website. Because of the council website constantly flagging up ‘error’ when reported, I wrote the post and as stated sent a link through to relevant people by email to address the problems.

Below is the email that I sent

Good afternoon
As the LB Hillingdon website is once again refusing to allow me to notify issues in Charville ward, please find below a link to said issues that we have highlighted on our website
I would appreciate it if these can be passed on to the relevant departments and email addresses for said departments made available so I can rectify future issues with them directly
A local resident would also like to bring to your attention a skip that has been outside Romney Parade for 6 months and is now a serious rodent hazard. (Pictures attached)
I have copied Cllr Markham in as environment champion at the council
Thanks for your assistance

A message to the people of Hayes & Harlington

clifflookingwellDear Neighbour

Hayes can be a wonderful place. I remember when we had more green spaces, when Hayes & Yeading FC used to play in Hayes, when our High Street was full of local small shops and when EMI was open and employing local people, when we had hope.

It is time for a change. I’m writing to you as the only locally born and educated candidate on your ballot paper. I was born in Hillingdon, met my wife and settled down in Hayes and now live in Cowley.

I was here before politics. I will be here long after, in our community.

UKIP won in the European elections and we beat the Conservatives in parts of Hayes last year in the locals. I can stop Labour and be your voice in Westminster to control immigration, get an EU Referendum, defend our NHS and invest a further £3bn more into the service from our EU contributions. I want to stop spending money on foreign aid and instead see that we look after our armed forces and pensioners.

These are the priorities of the majority of the British people. They’re my priorities too.

Locally, I want Hayes cleaned up and proper repairs made to council properties. I want to see more Police on the beat. I want to defend our green belt and make sure local families are prioritised for social housing and school places. You and your family come first.

When you vote, remember you’re voting for who you want to represent you and stand up for you in Parliament. I can be your voice, a UKIP voice who will make our local issues national priorities. But I can only do this with your help. Please lend me your support and together we can turn Hayes and West Drayton around.

Best Wishes

                   Cliff Dixon
