The Rise of the Regressive Left

This post was previously published by UKFM News

The last few weeks have seen newspaper headlines over Labour anti-Semitism, ‘Stand up to Racism’ supporters counter protesting a Veterans march in York regarding the persecution of British soldiers (picture below) and a council meeting in Newcastle being disrupted by far left protesters who disagreed with them on a motion being put forward to adopt the widely recognised IHRA definition of the aforementioned anti Semitism.

Yet much of the mainstream media and political class obsess over the rise of the ‘far right’ and ignore the violence and abuse coming from what I would term the ‘Regressive left’.

So you have to ask yourself, why the fixation on one form of extremism and not on the other and why all of a sudden do we see this upsurge in intolerance from the left?

The reality is that the regressive Left has been intolerant for many years but it is only now, in the wake of the Labour anti-Semitism scandal, that people are waking up to it and the mainstream media are forced to report because of the masses of evidence coming out on what is, for the moment, a lightly regulated internet.

John McDonnell – Marxist firebrand

Living in Hayes in West London, this is nothing new to me. Our MP since 1997 has been Labour Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell, until relatively recently in his career a marginalised back bencher. An avid supporter of the IRA (He has an award from Sinn Fein that was presented to him by the IRA Old Bailey bomber Gerry Kelly on his wall), he opposed both the Anglo Irish Agreement and The Good Friday agreement, stating of the latter that “An assembly is not what people have laid down their lives for over thirty years….the settlement must be for a United Ireland”. That statement was given to and printed in the official IRA newspaper.

But it is not just Republican terrorists that McDonnell has sympathies with. In 2014, he ran a public protest through Hayes Town dubbed ‘Hayes4Gaza’, supported by the anarchist Socialist Workers Party and certain sections of our local community where he encouraged people to boycott all goods from Israel and donate to a ‘charity’ called Interpal. Interpal are designated as a terror funding organisation by the Americans as well as Canada and Australia with links to radical groups – they sponsor schools in Gaza where children are indoctrinated to hate Jews and the West. He also supported an early day motion in Parliament (EDM786) to put pressure on the Americans to take them off the list – a motion also supported by Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and far left firebrand George Galloway as well as the Green party leader at the time, Caroline Lucas. (More about her later)

As far back as 2014, McDonnell addressed a meeting of the leftist Occupy movement at Westminster – his call for people on the streets and for taking ‘direct action’ resulted in 76 arrests for violent and criminal behaviour during and after the event. But this wasn’t a new stance for him – during the student riots at Millbank, he referred to the rioters as ‘The best of our movement’ and frequently calls for direct action if his political direction cannot be persuaded via the ballot box. He has called for left wing activists to target Tory MP’s, joked about lynching Conservative MP Esther McVey and kneecapping of councillors opposed to the IRA ,whilst encouraging his supporters to harass and bully reporters they don’t like, even going as far as to occupy newsrooms to force the media in to running stories they want publicised (From their angle of course).

Perhaps his most notorious outrage was when he told a meeting commemorating IRA hunger striker Bobby Sands that ,”There is only peace in Northern Ireland because of the bullets and bombs of the IRA”, a poisonous narrative that rightly got newspaper coverage – his attempt to get a statue put up in Hayes to the hunger striker didn’t get the same coverage and thankfully was given short shrift by our local council.

Ominously, McDonnell is now shifting more of his attention to support of Islamist extremism. As well as the Interpal support, McDonnell was a vocal campaigner for Guantanamo Bay inmate Moazzam Begg and worked alongside the dubious CAGE organisation to have him released (Pictured outside the US Embassy below with a petition)

McDonnell has also shared platforms with the notorious hate preacher, Suliman Gani, a man with known anti Semitic views who also wants Ahmadi Muslims treated as apostates under The Sharia (ie – killed) – a curious position for an MP who has spent a lot of time trying to cultivate his vote amongst the Ahmadi community in our area.

When a local Sikh Guru was being pressured by certain local Labour councillors to direct his charity work towards one section of the community rather than all who need assistance, his calls to McDonnell to get them to back off were met with silence and his charity collecting tins were forcibly removed from shops in Hayes Town, allegedly at the request of the MP.

His actions were disturbing enough when he was a backbench MP but now, as the most senior member of Jeremy Corbyn’s shadow cabinet team, the possibility of a man with a poor record in economic areas being handed the keys to the Treasury whilst having a notorious temper and dubious contacts and temperament makes him and his fellow travellers a clear and present danger to this country

Caroline Lucas – Blurring the lines between Green and Red by the seaside

In 2008, the English street campaign group March for England initiated a St George’s Day parade in Brighton. Led out by the Gurkha’s for the inaugural event, it was the intention to celebrate our patron saint in the same way as the Irish parades for St Patrick in the town. (Below)

The first two years went very well, with face painting for the kiddies, Pie and mash and the presence of the saint and his dragon. But in 2010, the likes of UAF and AntiFA decided that they didn’t want this ‘fascist’ flag in their town and a series of attacks were made against families enjoying the day in local pubs with a Police officer injured and arrests made. Social media from those groups afterwards stated that they had ‘smashed the fascist EDL’ in Brighton, despite this never being an event about anything other than pride in our English heritage, escalating the violence the following year. The difference in Policing can be seen clearly when you compare the 2008 photo with one I took in 2011 (Below)

By this time, Green Party campaigners and local councillors had become involved in the ‘counter demonstration’ and the family atmosphere was replaced by ugly scenes and intimidation.

In 2012, the route was changed after threats from the regressive left and running battles between UAF, AntiFA and the Police saw Officers hospitalised and Police horses injured – bottle bins were overturned and broken glass spread across the road to hinder horses getting through whilst missiles were aimed at the procession, injuring children amongst others. When the young lady pictured below received a missile to the head, Caroline Lucas MP was on a megaphone surrounded by masked far left thugs, urging them on.

Masked antiFA roamed the Park where the procession was due to end and speeches were cancelled by order of the Police for the safety of those involved in the celebration. (Below)

Further escalations over the next couple of years saw the end of the Parade as the organisers concluded that it was now too dangerous to carry on and that someone eventually would be killed. In 2013, far left protesters took rocks from the pebble beach and launched them at the parade whilst others in the 3 storey houses along the promenade launched bottles of urine amongst other things at the procession. What started as a family fun day had been turned in to a war zone by violent and aggressive militant leftist agitators and their triumphal rhetoric had started to attract the people they claimed to be against, the real far right, who were looking for confrontation.

The events I witnessed in Brighton showed me the real, ugly face of the regressive left on the ground – a face I have subsequently seen in demonstrations in London, most recently at the Day for Freedom and Free Tommy events, where masked leftists roamed the streets looking for victims to pick off away from the main, protected body of attendees.

Extremism – the Triple threat

Whilst the media, politicians and Police are talking about the ‘far right’, they seem to either ignore or deny the very valid threat from other sources. In the Greater London Assembly (GLA) last week, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick spoke of the threat of  far right terror and ‘so called Islamist inspired’ terror, something that Assembly Member Peter Whittle picked her up on very quickly. This is a stance that prominent anti extremism campaigner, Maajid Nawaz, has referred to as ‘The Voldemort Effect’ – the fear of speaking the name of the thing you are afraid of in the hope it doesn’t come for you.

Fortunately, Mr Nawaz has actually called out the ‘triple threat’ of far right, regressive left and Islamist terror on his LBC radio show – chillingly, he also pointed out that the regressive left is exceptionally dangerous as it now has proponents in senior positions within our electoral system/political parties.

Whilst we should never discount the real far right, regressive left Politicians and their violent bedfellows are a more immediate threat to the health of this country as I have seen across England since I started getting involved in the political scene in 2009. Only now are some waking up to it – I pray, for all our sakes, it is not too late to stop.

New Element discovered by scientists at CERN

A guest post by John Planter – with tongue firmly in cheek…..

Scientists at CERN in Geneva have announced the discovery of the HEAVIEST element yet known to science.

AND yes … it was discovered in Great Britain , which is now the leading producer.

The new element is Governmentium (Gv).  It has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lefton-like particles called peons.

Since  Governmentium has no electrons or protons, it is inert.  However, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes in contact.

It’s Conference season

Party Conference season is upon us and the circus unfolds.

This week, Labour have been going through their paces and the clowns have been front and centre – take a bow Clive Lewis, John McDonnell and not forgetting Diane Abbott.

Not a lot of policy on BREXIT but lots of misguided political correctness  to get your teeth in to

Here’s my take….

A reply to Cllr Janet Gardner

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

In the Uxbridge Gazette on 23rd November, Cllr Gardner wrote in to the letters page with a piece called ‘Remembrance and our town’s solidarity’. I reproduce the letter below –

I would like to thank PC Emma Reed and her Police colleagues for organising yet again an event in Hayes for the community that live in Hayes and to again prove to the narrow minded critics of Hayes that rather than be a fragmented town as is often claimed, we are in fact ‘in solidarity’.

The event was conducted on the frontage of the Social Centre in Botwell Lane with prayers said by some of the local clergy and a PCSO, the local faith centres were represented by members of their congregations – Christians,Muslims,Buddhists,Sikhs, atheists, all observed the two minute silence.

Over 100 people attended the event, some with their little children,in remembrance of those who have died and are still dying in wars all over the world, and of course with emphasis on those who are affected by wars, many of who live alongside us in the community that is Hayes. Something we all tend to forget.

Children from the local school attended and I am sure some have family members who know first hand the horrendous effect of war.

So again I would like to thank the local Police teams and Emma especially for their ability to make many of the cynics realise that people who live in Hayes are all part of one community and not just many diverse groups living in isolation.

Firstly, can I express my whole hearted agreement that we are all one community – indeed, I have said as much on leaflets we have put out across Hayes. My grandfather served in the Western Desert and Italy during World War 2 and fought alongside Australians, Sikhs and Gurkhas to rid us of the Nazi menace – brave men all.

But a number of things about her letter have caused me to write this reply.

Paris attacks – The solution?

eiffel_tower_france_paris_219697The following is the first post from one of our new 2016 guest writers, Hilltop Watchman.

It is a tongue in cheek look at the problems surrounding Islamist extremism in France with a message for those who would appease terrorism. Any similarity to the situation in Israel and Gaza is purely intentional.

Following the operations in Paris by several lone wolf militants with mental problems, and the brutal and disproportionate responses by the French authorities, it is clear that it is French Islamophobia that has resulted in feelings of desperation within the Islamic community

Indeed French society is so apartheid, that Muslims now feel excluded in the No-Go, bainlieu concentration camps that surround Paris, a stain on Gallic society that hearkens back to the collaborative days under Nazi occupation.

It is clear that French colonialist oppression is creating a powder keg environment where young men in particular, who immigrated to France to immerse themselves in the cradle of European culture, see no hope for the future, their hopes and dreams so dashed, that militancy is their only outlet. Their disappointment can only be imagined.

The actions of the racist French Occupying Forces especially operations in the Parisian bainlieus, likewise in the “jungle” refugee camp that is surrounded by French settlements in Calais together with French settled hostility is another factor.

Tunisia and beyond – Why our Government keep failing in the face of terror

Like most of you, I was horrified by the events of last Friday – The massacre of tourists in Tunisia, the bombing of the Shia Mosque in Kuwait and the beheading of a worker at a chemical plant in France. It would appear that the Islamic State promise to paint the Holy month of Ramadan with blood was no idle boast as countries around the world were hit by grim acts of terror.

David Cameron 2Yesterday morning, David Cameron gave a press conference where he once again sent out a defiant message that the free countries of the world will not give in to these acts of barbarism and that the terrorists will never win. Unfortunately, whilst our Prime Minister thinks he talks a good game, both his actions and part of his speech show just why this growing threat shows no signs of going away in the near future.

Tough on the causes of extremism?

Both David Cameron and Home Secretary Teresa May have said that they will crack down hard on the preachers of hate. However, what they say and what they do are two entirely different things.

A response to Bill Oddie

The following is a response from UKIP Culture spokesman Peter Whittle to Bill Oddie’s comments about British families

Profile_Pic.jpgUKIP Culture Spokesman Peter Whittle said: “Bill Oddie’s remarks this weekend, in which he described his shame at being British, and that the size of British families need ‘to be contained’ in the face of over population, were odious and misinformed.

“If they had been made about any other country or its people, he would almost certainly be facing the sack.

“The TV personality, whose salary as presenter of the BBC’s SpringWatch, is effectively paid by British taxpayers, talked of the British as being a ‘horrible race’.

“Such bigoted comments reveal a very distorted view and a complete ignorance of the facts. British families, like their counterparts in Europe, are on average small; indeed the indigenous populations of most European countries have been in steady decline for some time.

“In fact, the current and ongoing population boom in Britain is driven overwhelmingly by mass immigration.

“It might be easy to dismiss Mr Oddie’s remarks were in not for the fact that they are unfortunately typical of an attitude which has been unduly influential in British society for far too long. An unquestioning preference for mass immigration, a disdain for ordinary British people and a distaste for Britain itself, are knee-jerk prejudices all too often prevelant amongst those who shape our cultural landscape.

“We must challenge at every opportunity this kind of ill-informed, self-hating bigotry.”
