Ben Weald to stand in neighbouring by-election

A by election has been called in our fellow Middlesex Borough of Enfield, brought on by the resignation of sitting Tory councillor Eleftherios Savva.

The poll is to take place on Thursday 28th July, and I am pleased to say that my friend and fellow English Democrat Ben Weald (Pictured left in Hayes Town) will be standing for the party in the by-election.

The Hillingdon English Democrats would like to wish Ben all the best in his endeavours, and for those who would like to help please get in touch via the contact page on the site.

The full list of candidates for the election as follows –

English Democrats – Ben Weald

Conservative & Unionist Party – Lee Chamberlain

Labour Party – Ivor Wiggett

Liberal Democrats – Paul Smith

The Green Party – Douglas Coker

The Christian Party – Clive Morrison

UK  Independence Party (UKIP) – Gwyneth Lesley Rolph

Independent – Tony Kingsnorth (Enfield Resident’s Association)

British National Party (BNP) – Stephen Squire
